The 2026 Color Guild CEU Series brings together neuroaesthetics, neuroarchitecture, and color science to address one of the most important shifts in design today: understanding how environments directly affect the nervous system. Research continues to reveal how design influences stress, focus, healing, and performance, architects and designers need tools that translate science into everyday design decisions.
This series explores the role of color, incorporating important trends within broader design systems—examining how color, light, hue, contrast, spatial organization, and material relationships influence physical health, mental function, and human behavior across the built environment. Drawing on current research, cast studies and real-world application, participants will learn how to use color as a vital lever to shape outcomes in multifamily housing, healthcare settings, classrooms, workplaces, and community spaces.
